DomagojDuvnjak’s Kiel defended their title
in Germany. For the twentieth time they won the title of the best.
This makes them the most successful club of
the German championship. Kiel ensured the title with victory in the last round
against Lemgo at home, the game was followed by 10,285 spectators in the
sold-out Sparkassen-Arena and about 3,000 fans watching the television coverage
on a huge video wall in the city center. Finally: Kiel 65 points (32 wins, 1
draw and 3 losses) and Rhein-Neckar Löwen second with two points less (31 wins,
1 draw and 4 defeats)
Domagoj in his first season 2014/15 in Kiel’s
jersey contributed to winning the Championship title with 134 goals,and 34 out of
36 matches played.
By counting performances with Kiel in the
Champions League (fourth place) and the German Cup (lost in the quarterfinals),
Duvnjak scored the total of 202 goals in 54 matches.
